Doudou Wang is a multimedia artist whose work investigates the thresholds between perception, affect, and psychological experience. Her recent practice examines the act of ‘transform’ not as a fixed outcome, but an ongoing symbolic and structural process. Drawing on Western alchemical traditions, Daoist cosmology, and Jungian analytical psychology, Wang explores how these systems articulate the intangible emotional shifts, internal states, and the porous boundaries between matter and spirit. Not as static forms, but as fluid perceptual events.

Wang’s work seeks to develop a visual language that resists narrative closure, instead inviting viewers into a state of suspended recognition. By referencing traditions such as Chinese landscape painting, Zen experience, and psychological automatism, she constructs images that function as "mindscapes"—open fields where meaning is fluid and contingent. Her works do not offer definitive answers; they remain deliberately incomplete, inviting viewers to participate in the ongoing processes of seeing, feeling, and transformation.
